A Dallas man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter of a 70-year-old Garland man as the result of an automobile accident in Dallas Thursday, March 6.

In what Garland police call a non-weather related accident just before midnight Thursday, March 6, 29-year-old Raymond Martinez of Dallas has been charged with intoxication manslaughter of a Garland man.

According to Garland Police Officer Joe Harn, the victim, 70-year-old Hubert Glenn Agee of Garland, was on Interstate 635 near Jupiter Road when his van was hit from the rear by what is believed to have been Martinez’s vehicle was forced off the road. The Dallas Morning News article said Agee was on his way to Plano to pick up newspapers he was to deliver as an independent contractor of the publication.

Martinez was treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident and is now in custody in the Garland jail.
