A tanker truck overturned on Loop 820 in southeast Fort Worth Monday morning. According to police, the driver lost control of the truck as it made a turn on a ramp on southbound Loop 820. The driver was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment.

The truck was carrying salt water–which is often used for drilling rig operations in the area–and some of the cargo spilled. The majority, however, remained intact. The tanker was still blocking the highway two and a half hours after the accident. A second truck was later called in to transport the remainder of the truck’s load.
