At least 3 passengers of the Crown Princess cruise ship, which listed severely to the right off the coast of Port Canaveral, Florida, Tuesday plan to file a lawsuit against Carnival Corporation, a press released announced Thursday. The lawsuits are expected to be filed by the end of the month. There have been reports of as many as 260 people being injured in the cruise ship accident, which forced the Crown Princess to return to port. The ship left Florida for New York yesterday, carrying only the crew and investigators who are expected to look into whether all systems are working properly.
Earlier this year, Carnival settled an unpaid overtime lawsuit for $6.25 million to be paid out to current and former crew members.
