A school bus transporting 12 children to an Arlington school for the hearing impaired (Jean Massieu Academy) was struck by a passenger car around 7 a.m. March 13. The small vehicle was attempting to make it through a yellow light on the service road at Loop 12 and Keeneland Parkway in Dallas. It is ridiculous to think someone could be in such a hurry that they would put a large group of innocent children at risk. Aside from one child who was released to parents at the scene of the accident, the shaken children were taken to Children’s Medical Center Dallas. While no serious injuries were reported in this incident, we all know that isn’t always the case. Is there no end to the dangers of the road and irresponsible individuals who risk the lives of others?
