It looks like President George Bush and the first lady will be spending more time in Dallas. According to Dallasnews.com, President Bush and Laura Bush have just purchased a home in Preston Hollow, which is arguably the nicest neighborhood in the area. I’m sure they will feel quite at home in their estate, which is nestled in the northern section of the city.
Cindy Adams, a columnist for the New York Post writes that the home will have "horse stables, lake views, mountain views, golf club views". I have seen aerial shots of the property and it looks spectacular. You can see them here.
Homes in Preston Hollow go from $800,000 to $40,000,000, according to wikipedia.org. At this time, it has not been disclosed just how much the Bush’s have paid for their estate and the White House has yet to give out any details regarding the first family’s big move. I do know that the Bush’s lived in Dallas in the late 80s-early 90s, however, before they moved to the governor’s mansion in Austin.
